Voice, collaboration & customer experience

Change your telephony with a plan for migration day.

Changing your phone system or customer service platform? Bring numbers, calls and teams into one plan. Tell us the countries, current platform and what must keep working so we can compare transition options.

Colt capabilities to consider

Distribution to teams

Incoming contacts
Configured distribution
Service teams

Channels, integrations, licences and countries depend on the design and contracted service.

When it matters

Start with a real call: who calls, who answers and what happens if they cannot.

Replacing a phone system
Inventory numbers and simultaneous calls to plan IP telephony and migration phases.
Adding cloud calling
Distinguish internal meetings from external calls; review the platform, licences and numbers.
Serving several countries
Map opening hours, languages and destinations to define incoming call distribution.
Coordinating agents and channels
If customers repeat their context, review queues, data and customer service platform integrations.

Criteria for your project

Where are the numbers?
List countries and numbers to check portability and local requirements for the applicable service.
What do you want to retain?
Identify the phone system, platform and integrations to separate necessary changes from reusable elements.
How many calls overlap?
Provide peaks, duration and destinations; concurrency helps size capacity and distribution.
How does audio reach users?
Review delay, variation in delay and packet loss, alongside connectivity and voice equipment.
How will migration work?
Define phases, test calls and a rollback plan before scheduling number migration.

Questions worth asking

Does SIP Trunking work the same in every country?

No. SIP Trunking connects business telephony over IP, but numbering and features vary by country. Prepare numbers, locations and phone system details to check compatibility, portability and testing before scheduling the change.

Can we add telephony to a cloud platform?

Yes, options exist for supported platforms. Having meetings does not mean public telephony is integrated. Specify the platform, licences and countries to establish connectivity, numbering and support responsibilities.

Is Wholesale SIP right for my business?

It serves providers and resellers building voice services for their customers. For telephony used by your own teams, start with SIP Trunking or unified communications. Explain who will use the service and who will operate it.

An isolated product is rarely the complete answer.

Telephony migration

Illustrative case: a business replaces its phone system. SIP Trunking connects external calls and the platform manages users. Check numbers and compatibility, migrate in phases and test incoming and outgoing calls with a rollback plan.

An international contact centre

Illustrative case: a call arrives outside opening hours. Intelligent Numbers directs it to a destination; CCaaS, the cloud contact centre, manages queues and agents. Review integration and test busy, no-answer and context retention scenarios.
