Cloud On Demand
Adapt cloud connectivity to a migration or temporary demand.
Cloud On Demand manages eligible connections on prepared ports. It suits changing capacity or destinations; review cloud-provider authorisations too.
Not all locations, regions or capacities are available on demand.
Let’s talk
How it works
Adapt cloud connectivity to migration or changing demand.
On Demand controlManagement: configures the serviceAuthorise and connect
Eligible port
CSP connectionThe portal configures the connection; user traffic flows through the service.
Prepare both sides
The portal configures connectivity on prepared ports. The cloud administrator completes authorisation and account-network association according to the CSP.
Define routing ownership and validate real traffic. Creating a connection does not deploy a virtual machine or automatically grant application permissions.
On Demand controlManagement: configures the serviceEligible capacity adjustment

Expand the segment that limits throughput
A bulk transfer may need temporary capacity. Check port limits, the cloud connection and commercial profile before requesting a change.
Measure the improvement and plan capacity reduction after the peak. CSP quotas, charges and instance performance also matter.

Separate management and traffic
If a request remains pending, check its state before retrying. The management channel and data service can be in different states.
Recovery from path failure requires designed alternative connections and routing. On Demand enables changes; it does not replace tested redundant architecture.
Illustrative case: from situation to decision
- Situation
- An extra cloud backup is needed, but port readiness is still unknown.
- Option
- Separate a logical upgrade from new physical access; prepare the cloud side and agree capacity restoration.
- Check
- Confirm both endpoints, actual backup traffic and cost before closing the change.
Changes depend on eligible ports, CSP and service variant; they do not automatically resize cloud resources.
Decisions for your project
- Preparation
- Ports, CSP, account authorisations and region.
- Scaling and billing
- Limits, duration, Colt/CSP charges and approval owners.
- Operations
- Order state, service tests, rollback and traffic alternative.
From design to operation
Prepare a small change, verify visibility in both portals and document operation and rollback.

What happens next?
- Understand the context
What’s changing, where your teams work and what cannot fail. Still defining the brief? We can help structure it.
- Design the options
Bring needs, Colt capabilities and technical criteria together. Compare alternatives and explain dependencies and limits.
- Validate before committing
Coverage, feasibility, responsibilities and terms. A commercial proposal is developed with the relevant specialists.
ColtPlatinum guides the project and coordinates commercial discussions and follow-up. Colt validates feasibility, enters into the service contract, and provisions, installs and delivers the services.
Availability, coverage, capabilities, SLAs and timelines are subject to technical validation and contract. No diagram is a service guarantee.
